solstice

Twice a year, the earth pauses.
Solstice.

One marks the longest night.
The other, the longest day.
Each one a quiet threshold.
A place to pause. A place to return.

This is a moment to remember that you belong to the cycles of the earth. You are not separate from nature. You are part of her rhythm. Part of her turning.

At Luna, we honour this rhythm.
Our cacao comes from the northern jungles of Peru, one of the original homes of the Theobroma cacao tree. This land holds deep ancestral knowledge. It pulses with the energy of Pachamama — the great earth mother, who holds all cycles of light, dark, bloom, and rest.

Cacao grown here is not only rich in nutrients. It carries the spirit of the land.
And when you prepare it with care, it becomes more than a drink.
It becomes a way to come back to yourself.
To move in tune with the season you’re in.
To live in alignment with something older than time.

In the South: Winter Begins

For those in the Southern Hemisphere, June brings the winter solstice.

The light thins.
The days shorten.
Nature turns inward, and so do we.

This is a time for slowness. For tending the inner flame. For sitting with what needs to be seen and gently released.

Cacao is a beautiful companion in winter.
She invites stillness.
She opens space for reflection.
She helps soften what’s been held too tightly.

This is a season of contemplation, deep rest, and quiet release.
Warm between your hands, cacao becomes a ritual of slowing down.
A way to ground.
A way to listen.

In the North: Summer in Full Bloom

In the Northern Hemisphere, June marks the height of summer.

The light is strong.
The days stretch long.
Nature is blooming. So are we.

This is a season of movement.
Of energy, creativity, and expression.
The seeds you planted are now bearing fruit.

Cacao offers support here too.
She brings focus and clarity.
She uplifts without overstimulating.
She helps anchor you in the present as you expand.

In summer, cacao supports your momentum, while keeping you connected.
She becomes a ritual for energy, intention, and creative flow.

Luna Cacao and the Rhythm of Pachamama

At Luna, we don’t see cacao as a trend or a health food.
We honour her as a teacher.
A plant with deep memory and wisdom.

Our cacao is grown in the Peruvian Amazon, where the forest still breathes in its original rhythm. Where Pachamama moves through the roots and rivers and rains.

When you drink Luna cacao, you’re aligning with her.

You’re remembering how to move with the seasons.
How to rest when it’s time to rest.
How to rise when it’s time to rise.
You’re syncing your body to something that never forgot you.

A Simple Solstice Ceremony

If you’d like to mark this solstice with intention, here is a gentle ceremony to support you.

  • Prepare your space. Light a candle. Offer some sacred smoke to yourself, your cacao, and the space around you.

  • Make your cacao with care. Keep the heat gentle — don’t boil. Let it be a slow, intentional process.

  • Pour your cacao into your cup. Anchor yourself with your breath.

  • Take a moment to feel the energy of your cacao. Let yourself arrive fully.

  • Ask yourself:
What am I ready to release?

  • Offer your intention and your gratitude into your cup with your breath.

  • Take a sip. Feel the spirit of cacao move through you. Feel your prayer inside you.

  • Then ask:
What am I ready to grow into?

  • Give thanks. Drink slowly. Let the medicine meet you where you are.

Let this be a quiet moment of return.
To your rhythm.
To the season you’re in.
To the wisdom that lives in your body.

From the Peruvian Amazon, where our cacao is grown,
to wherever you are in the world —
we’re sending warmth, presence, and love this solstice.

With all of our love,
Luna Cacao
